Homes 4 the Homeless recently received a gracious donation of land located in Starbase, Texas. The property is .70∓ acres and could accommodate up to 30 units. This location was a direct donation from a local individual and will enable H4H to expand our outreach to Texas. The property is located in Starbase, Texas, along Highway 4, within sight of the Starbase launch site.

This land will be used for community members experiencing homelessness or needing housing assistance. The project will  focus on the Vessel model, E-3. The E-3 model is constructed overseas and only requires a foundation and hookups to water, sewer and electricity. The E-3 model is 204 square feet with sleeping, bathroom, kitchen and living areas.

The development options of this site are currently being analyzed by our consultants to ensure maximum efficiency of the land including installation. The stakeholders in the community will be involved in the focus of the development, the needs of marginalized families/individuals, and help define a safe place for everyone.

Starbase, Texas was born from SpaceX’s bold vision to establish a private spaceport to support its next generation launch vehicles. In August 2014, SpaceX announced it had selected a remote coastal site near Brownsville, Texas, drawn by its geographic advantages beneficial to spaceport operations.
