HAVEN Project - Lake County - California
Housing And Vocational Empowerment Network (HAVEN)
Project HAVEN aims to provide innovative, sustainable housing solutions for the homeless while creating job opportunities through vocational training programs.
The rising homelessness crisis, particularly in California, demands urgent and innovative solutions. Traditional approaches have fallen short in providing sustainable and cost-effective housing. Additionally, there is a significant need for vocational training to empower underserved communities and create job opportunities.

How It Works:
- Modular Housing Production: VESSEL homes are built using recycled materials and are designed to endure extreme weather conditions. The production process ensures quality and compliance to meet Federal and State standards.
- Vocational Training: The LIME Foundation and Homes 4 the Homeless will jointly develop training programs focusing on housing assembly and construction skills, providing participants with valuable job skills.
- Assembly Facility: Located in a strategically chosen area, the facility will produce up to ten homes per month, offering hands-on training opportunities and contributing to local housing needs.
Value Proposition:
- Affordable Housing: VESSEL homes offer a cost-effective solution to the homelessness crisis, with the potential to save governments significant amounts in social services.
- Job Creation: The vocational training programs will create job opportunities for underserved youth, reducing unemployment and fostering community development.
- Sustainability: The use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient designs ensures a reduced environmental footprint.
- Quality and Durability: The homes’ design and construction standards guarantee long-term durability and safety, even in extreme weather conditions.
