Steven Schneider

 Steven Schneider is the founder of Homes 4 the Homeless. A 40 year veteran of business, including the auto rental industry, Schneider was inspired to launch our organization after he lost his home in the wildfires of 2017. 

Joe Moore

 Joe Moore is a veteran contractor in Sonoma County who oversees building operations. He owns Joe Moore Painting and Roofing in Windsor, California.

Larry R. Jackson

Larry R. Jackson of Boesch Law Group is our Chief Legal Counsel. He received his law degree from Indiana University and earned degrees from Ball State University and Princeton Theological Seminary.

Ben Bartlett

Hon. Ben Bartlett, Berkeley City Council, is a fifth generation city native, environmental lawyer, and respected community leader. His mission is to leverage industry and government to deliver innovation, expand  opportunity, and protect the environment. Ben is the son of community activists, and at a young age he learned the value of community and the necessity of progress. Those values of innovation and inclusion continue to inform Ben’s policies. His initiative to use pre-fabricated modular homes was the first in the nation. More Info

Ryan Cooper

Ryan Cooper was born and raised on the mission fields and lived in under privileged countries, which gave him the insight to living with nothing and sharing what he had. This also gave him a heart to help people make the best of who they are under any circumstance. Ryan has worked hard and been successful in varying arenas. His first job was as an apprentice carpenter from the age of 15-21. His very first project was converting a shipping container into a temporary dwelling. Since then Ryan has been seen modeling around the world in prestigious fashion campaigns - DKNY, Armani, Hugo Boss etc and acting in TV and film with stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Kate Mckinnon and Zoë Kravitz. Del Christensen

Del Christensen has been an advocate for the homeless and heavily involved in searching for solution

Del Christensen has been an advocate for the homeless and heavily involved in searching for effective solutions. He is Chief of Global Business Development for the Bay Area Council. Since 2008 Del worked in membership development, held leadership roles in the areas of cloud computing and cybersecurity, and currently oversees the Council’s trade and investment efforts in Shanghai, China. His background includes over 20 years experience with Fortune 500 companies, including Providian Financial and Wachovia Bank. 

Lori Harvey

Lori Harvey is the Operations Supervisor of Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Sonoma County. Lori previously worked in the theatre department of Santa Rosa Junior College. She has a background in retail as well as interior design, with an emphasis on upcycling furniture.

Wayne Kleefeld

 Wayne Kleefeld is the Manager of Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Sonoma County. Wayne was born and raised in Canada, where he graduated from the University of Regina. He served as Regional Manager of Job Creation & Economic Development for the Canadian government. His background includes 30 years in the mortgage industry. Wayne and his family have called Sonoma County home since 1991.

Lisa Schultz-Dau

We are fortunate to welcome Lisa Schultz-Dau and Robert Dau to tap their rental car industry experience for our container home operations to assist the homeless. Lisa has over 30 years of Rental Car experience where her positions included Financial Analyst and Controller for multiple major Rental Car companies. Partnering with Robert in 2013, they now focus on Consulting, Accounting and Bookkeeping for small to mid-size businesses with an emphasis in the Rental Car industry.

Robert Dau

Robert Dau joins Homes 4 the Homeless with 37 years experience in rental car industry

 We are fortunate to welcome Robert Dau and Lisa Schultz-Dau to tap their rental car industry experience for our container home operations to assist the homeless. Robert has over 37 years of experience in every aspect of the Rental Car industry. An accomplished and results-oriented executive, he developed and executed short- and long-term strategies. He has vast experience as a fleet planner and revenue manager. He also has expertise in growth and acquisitions. Currently consults for multiple rental car companies throughout the United States.  Partnering with Lisa in 2013, they now focus on Consulting, Accounting and Bookkeeping for small to mid-size businesses with an emphasis in the Rental Car industry. 

Tom Cody

Tom Cody is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in the field of eye wear and optical technologies.  His companies include Zero G Titanium Eyewear, Born in Brooklyn, and Masunaga1905.  Tom is passionate about helping others and cares deeply about homelessness and has decided to channel all his philanthropy into Homes 4 the Homeless.

John McAuliffe

Founder Steve Schneider first met John McAuliffe after losing his home during the fires of 2017. McAuliffe is General Manager of the Hyatt where Steve lived after losing his home and together they witnessed the rapid growth of homelessness in downtown Santa Rosa, an experience he credits for inspiring Homes 4 the Homeless. Born in Austin and raised in Dallas, McAuliffe knew from the age of eight that he wanted to be a General Manager for hotels. His neighbor was a Marriott GM and at age five McAuliffe helped out as a bellboy on busy weekends and fell in love. He attended Jesuit College Prep in Dallas for high school and then attended Oklahoma State University with a major in Hospitality Tourism Management. Since graduating in 2010, he has worked in ten different hotels in seven cities and six states. He has played rugby for 19 years and still plays for the Santa Rosa Men’s Club. In his free time he is a foodie and loves to go on trips with fiancé Paige and dog Stella.

Sara Bernate

 Sara Bernate is an interior architect and designer who has worked on residential and hospitality projects throughout the Bay Area and Sonoma County. She is an avid environmentalist and long time enthusiast of the tiny house movement.  Sara is the principal and owner of Studio Beau Design in Healdsburg, CA. 

Dave Cynkin

 Dave is a strategic advisor to CEO's & Founders, with an entrepreneurial background in executive, investor and consultative roles in diverse markets including automotive, technology, healthcare, CPG, sports industries, etc. He also has experience with non-profit organizations and social causes including: funding cutting-edge cancer research and treatment; providing education, services and advocacy in underserved communities; supporting fundraising, exercise and athletics programs for the disabled; homelessness relief initiatives, and more. 

Irvin Klein

Irvin has agreed to help our cause by donating his expertise in Architecture. Originally from England Irvin moved to the USA in 2000 after working in London on projects in the Middle East and on Cruise Ship Interiors. Now working locally in Sonoma County, he has done a variety of projects both residential and commercial, new architecture, remodels and interiors. Click Here to see some of his work. 

Bogdan Demetrescu

 Because of our mutual experience in the auto industry and interest in renting container homes much like the auto rental industry, we are excited to welcome the support of Bogdan. He holds an MBA and an Engineering Degree and has more than 20 years experience in the auto industry in product development, strategic planning and operations for Ford and General Motors. He is currently General Manager Remarketing Operations North America at Daimler AG. 

Jonathan Parkhurst

  We are proud to have the support of homeless activist Jonathan Parkhurst. A veteran of Desert Storm, Jonathan experienced homelessness for a short time in San Francisco before going on to become a tech entrepreneur and app developer. Now he is using his experience to give back and help others transition from homelessness. 

Daniel Lowe

   Daniel Lowe is the owner of WELD=N=THINGZ , a key partner of ours. Dan started welding in 1994 saying the sound of metal being fused and sparks flying everywhere had him hooked from the start. He is certified in all manual and semi-automatic processes. "It's my craft of choice because I love fabricating, trying to visualize what the customer wants, then making it a reality."  

Ginny Scales-Medeiros

 Currently holds workshops on money management, credit recovery and negotiating skills that help the homeless become more self-sufficient. Her unusual story includes being on her own at the age of 15. Learn More www.ginnyscalesmedeiros.com 

Chris Andersen

 Chris brings a variety of talents to our cause.  He has extensive experience in the automotive and hospitality  industries, having had extensive customer service, sales and marketing  training with Ace Rental Cars and Hyatt Hotels. He extremely sensitive  to homeless issues, having been homeless himself for a brief period.  More recently he and his fiance are interested in starting a health and wellness business. 

Ryan Rypka

  Ryan is a rental specialist with experience working for some of the biggest auto rental companies in the world. He has a passion for customer service and helping others. Contact him today to find out more about renting a container home for the homeless.  

Chenghao Qian

  Chenghao is volunteering his time helping with China-US Business Development. Studying for his Masters Degree in finance at University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, Chenghao earned a Bachelors Degree in finance from the University of Missouri.  

Alex Campbell

Homelessness is an issue that has concerned Alex for most of his life and he is grateful for finally having the opportunity to help those without shelter with Homes 4 the Homeless. Alex has 25 years experience in marketing, public relations and communications in the alternative energy and automotive industries. He also has more than a decade of experience as a volunteer and board member for local non-profits.

Mercedes Leon

Mercedes Leon loves helping people and joined us with a desire to help out with the homeless crisis, especially on the border of El Salvador. She was born in El Salvador and now lives in Santa Rosa with her son. She has experience in freight and trucking driving 18 wheelers and holds Class A Commercial Drivers License. Currently she is Manager for Ace Rental Cars at the Sonoma County Airport. Mercedes also loves to cook and someday wants to open her own restaurant. We are lucky to have her helping manage our rental operations as she has been uniquely trained to do volume rentals.

Miguel Cruz

Miguel has had some experience with homelessness as a young man in Mexico and now with Homes 4 the Homeless he wants to give back.  He lives in Sonoma County with his wife and two children. An experienced carpenter, Miguel has his own business MC Junk Removal.

Alexes Aragon

Alexes has wanted to help the homeless ever since the 2017 wildfires devastated our community. She was a cosmetologist for many years and had always wanted to help out by giving haircuts to the homeless. She has experience in the auto industry, working at dealerships and helping customers with vehicle registration services. Alexes loves animals, comes from a big family and loves helping to raise her two little brothers.

Ernesto Rivas

Ernesto learned to weld in 2006 saying "The moment I saw the fusion process I was hooked." In 2007 he graduated from Clearfield Job Corp with a certification in welding. He started working with Dan Lowe of WELD=N=THINGZ™ in 2008 and the two have been working together ever since.
