At Homes 4 the Homeless (EIN: 84-2805734), we’re thrilled to celebrate a $5,000 donation from Chevron Oil, a vital boost to our mission of providing safe, stable housing. On April 11, 2025, at our site at 3362 Fulton Road, Fulton, CA 95439, Julia Bussey of Chevron and our CEO, Steve Schneider, stood beside a NESSEL V9 modular home from VESSEL of China, holding a check dated December 2, 2024. This moment, captured in a powerful photo, symbolizes a shared commitment to transforming lives.
A Partnership Born from Compassion
Our connection with Chevron began after the 2017 Tubbs Fire ravaged Santa Rosa, destroying over 10,000 homes. H4H explored using a remediated Chevron refueling depot near Sebastopol Road to house displaced individuals along Hwy 12’s bicycle path. Though the site’s history as a fuel storage location required extensive cleanup, making it unsuitable for habitation, Chevron’s support endured. “We’re proud to support Homes 4 the Homeless with this $5,000 donation, reflecting our commitment to rebuilding communities affected by challenges like the Tubbs Fire,” said Julia Bussey. Their latest contribution builds on years of generosity.
Showcasing the V9 Modular Home
The V9 modular home, manufactured by VESSEL, is a cornerstone of our VESSEL Housing program, offering affordable, durable, and sustainable homes. The photo of Julia and Steve with the V9 home highlights how Chevron’s donation will expand this initiative. “This donation, presented alongside our V9 modular home, is a game-changer for providing safe housing and hope to those in need,” noted Steve Schneider. This support will bring more safe homes to those experiencing homelessness.
Impact That Changes Lives
This $5,000 gift will fund critical efforts, from maintaining modular homes to providing services like job training and mental health support. With over 580,000 people experiencing homelessness nightly in the U.S. (per HUD), every dollar matters. Chevron’s April environmental cleanup efforts further align with our mission, ensuring safer communities while supporting housing solutions.
